This Privacy Policy explains how UnoizeStudio (“we”, “our” or “us”) processes personal information when you visit unoizestudio.com, contact us, purchase or license our WordPress plugins, or use our Shopify apps, including UnoDock.
This policy provides information about our practices. Visiting our website does not, by itself, constitute consent to optional tracking.
UnoizeStudio develops apps and plugins for Shopify and WordPress.
Data controller: Paulo Silva, trading as UnoizeStudio.
Location: Lisbon, Portugal.
Privacy and support: [email protected].
Website: https://unoizestudio.com.
We are responsible for information used to operate our website, handle enquiries and manage our own customer relationships. Where we process store information on a merchant’s behalf to provide an app, the merchant determines the purposes of that processing. The merchant’s privacy policy also applies to shoppers using that store.
You do not need to create an account on unoizestudio.com to browse the website or contact support. Shopify and Freemius may require their own accounts to use their services.
When you contact us by email or through a support form, we receive the information you submit. This may include your name, email address, selected product, website or store address, message and troubleshooting information you choose to provide.
Our website and infrastructure providers may also process technical information, such as IP addresses, browser and device information, requested pages, referral information, timestamps and error or security logs.
We use this information to respond to requests, diagnose problems, operate and protect our services, and improve their reliability. Please do not send passwords, access tokens, payment card details or unnecessary personal information in support messages or screenshots.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use unoizestudio.com. Depending on the configuration and your privacy choices, information may include pages visited, interactions, referral sources, device and browser information, approximate location and identifiers used for measurement.
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies for essential functionality, security, preferences and analytics. These purposes are distinct: optional analytics are not necessary to submit a support request or browse our product information.
We use CookieYes to manage cookie consent on our website. Google Analytics is blocked until you accept analytics cookies. You can accept or reject optional cookies through the CookieYes consent controls and change or withdraw your choice through the website’s cookie preferences. Rejecting analytics cookies does not prevent you from browsing the website or contacting support.
You can also manage cookies through your browser. Blocking essential cookies may affect some functionality. Browser controls do not replace consent choices where consent is legally required.
Google’s processing is described in its Privacy Policy.
WordPress plugin purchases and paid licences are handled through Freemius, our e-commerce and licensing provider. Freemius manages checkout, payments, invoices, subscriptions and licence services under its own terms and privacy policy.
We may receive or access customer, purchase and licence information through Freemius, such as your name, email address, purchased product, transaction reference and licence or subscription status. We use this information to provide support, administer access to our products and address purchase-related requests.
Our premium plugins include the Freemius SDK. Depending on the plugin, licence and enabled services, communication with Freemius may involve your website address, contact or account details, licence identifiers, product version and technical information needed for activation, validation, updates and troubleshooting. Any optional usage-data sharing is subject to the choices presented by the relevant product.
UnoizeStudio does not receive or store your full payment card number or card security code.
For details of Freemius’ own processing, see its Privacy Policy.
When you install and use a UnoizeStudio Shopify app, we process the information needed to authenticate the installation, provide the features you select and support the app.
For UnoDock, this may include:
Your store domain, installation identifiers, permissions and store time zone.
Authentication and session information, including access tokens and, where provided by Shopify, administrator identifiers, name, email address and locale.
App configuration, such as selected buttons, links, appearance, menus, products, collections and enabled features.
Product and collection information needed to display configured features, such as identifiers, titles, handles, images and prices, together with navigation-menu information.
Technical information needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service.
App settings are stored using Shopify’s app-data facilities. Authentication records and, where enabled, UnoDock Analytics are also stored in the database used to operate our app.
Customer-facing features may display information already held by Shopify, such as a signed-in shopper’s name, contact details, addresses or orders. UnoDock’s current customer panels render this information within the merchant’s Shopify storefront; they do not copy those customer profiles or order histories into our app database.
Where a paid Shopify app subscription is offered, the relevant charges are approved and billed through Shopify. We may process subscription identifiers, plan and billing status to manage feature access. This does not give UnoizeStudio access to full payment card details.
Shopify’s processing is described in its Privacy Policy.
UnoDock Analytics is separate from Google Analytics on unoizestudio.com. Where available and enabled, it helps the merchant understand interactions with UnoDock features on their store.
Recorded information may include button clicks, panel openings, product and collection clicks, menu-link clicks, submitted search terms and searches without results. Records include the store, feature or item involved, relevant labels or product images, time periods and interaction counts.
Search terms are filtered to exclude common patterns associated with personal information, such as email addresses and phone numbers. Filtering cannot guarantee that every potentially personal term is removed. Shoppers should avoid entering sensitive information into product searches.
The analytics database stores aggregated interaction counts. The collector does not assign persistent visitor identifiers, create individual browsing profiles or link its records to Shopify customer accounts. Temporary random batch identifiers prevent duplicate counting; they are not customer identifiers. These statements concern the UnoDock collector, not Shopify’s or the merchant’s other tracking tools.
Collection proceeds only when Shopify’s Customer Privacy API indicates that analytics processing is allowed. This depends on the store’s privacy configuration and the visitor’s applicable choices. The merchant is responsible for configuring the store’s notices and consent controls appropriately.
Infrastructure providers may separately process IP addresses and request metadata when delivering requests, even though these are not fields in UnoDock’s analytics records.
Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases depend on the purpose:
Contract: providing requested products, app access, licensing and related support.
Legitimate interests: securing services, investigating faults and handling enquiries, balanced against your rights.
Consent: optional analytics or other processing where consent is required.
Legal obligations: applicable accounting, tax and lawful disclosure requirements.
If essential information is not provided, we may be unable to fulfil the relevant request. Store data processed on a merchant’s behalf is used to provide the requested service, rather than for our own advertising.
We use providers where needed for hosting, databases, email delivery, support, security, analytics and payment or licensing services. These include Contabo for server hosting, Cloudflare for infrastructure and security services, Google Workspace for email, CookieYes for cookie consent management, Google Analytics for website measurement, Freemius for WordPress purchases and licensing, and Shopify for our Shopify apps. Our website runs on WordPress; WordPress is the website platform, rather than the name of our hosting provider. A provider’s role may differ between services; some also process information independently under their own policies.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use UnoDock storefront interaction data for cross-store advertising profiles.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Using our support page within an app loads content from unoizestudio.com and submits support information to our support systems. The website practices described in this policy apply to that interaction too.
Some providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area.
Our Contabo server is located in France. This does not mean that every service we use processes information exclusively in France or the EEA. Google Workspace, Cloudflare and other providers may process information internationally under their applicable service terms and data protection arrangements.
Information about provider processing is available in the Google Privacy Policy and Cloudflare Privacy Policy, as well as the Shopify and Freemius policies linked above. Contact [email protected] for information about the safeguards applicable to transfers of personal information in connection with our services.
We retain information according to its purpose and applicable obligations:
Support: for the time needed to resolve the request and manage related follow-up, disputes or legal obligations.
Customer and licence records: while needed to provide the product, administer the licence and satisfy applicable record-keeping requirements. Freemius and Shopify apply their own retention policies to records they control.
App authentication: while needed to operate the installation. UnoDock’s uninstall and shop-deletion handlers remove associated session records and app-database analytics when those notifications are successfully processed.
UnoDock Analytics: reports cover up to 30 days. The current cleanup process removes aggregates older than 32 days and duplicate-prevention batch records older than 24 hours during subsequent analytics processing. Inactive stores may retain older records until processing resumes or a deletion event or request is handled; these are not guaranteed maximum deletion deadlines.
Website analytics, technical logs and backups: according to the configured retention periods and operational, security or legal needs of the relevant systems. Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups until those backups expire.
Uninstalling an app does not automatically erase separate support correspondence or records that another provider must retain. You can contact us about deletion of information we hold.
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information and services involved, including encrypted connections and restricted access to operational systems. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal information, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. Some rights have legal exceptions.
Contact [email protected]. We may request proportionate identity verification and will respond within applicable deadlines.
For information controlled by a Shopify merchant, contact that merchant first; we can assist with requests concerning our processing. Shopify’s app privacy-request mechanisms also support access and deletion requests.
You may complain to a competent data protection authority. In Portugal, this is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our services or practices. The revised date appears at the top. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent for a new purpose.
